How You'll Help Us Connect The World

As a part of our Distributed Capacity and Coverage Solutions quality team, this role will support the implementation and execution of a quality approach with the intent to deliver high quality products and service in a manner that meets the high standards held by CommScope.
This includes having multi-functional accountability and interactions with product management, operations, design engineering, technical support, planning, and any other applicable areas in support of improving overall quality as it pertains to the product lifecycle.
You will utilize tools and methodologies to drive individual and multi-functional efforts in problem solving quality issues.
You will handle quality functions such as but not limited to non-conformance analysis, data analysis and report generation, product field performance analysis, internal audits and other quality functions.
Be a representative of the quality team on multi-functional teams during product development.
Utilize basic and advance quality tools (Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, etc) to analyze and resolve product issues during all phases of the product life cycle (design, production, deployment, sustaining, end of life).
Support the local and global Quality team in continuous improvement activities, definition, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions as well as in the quality reporting.
Take initiative and action to respond, lead, resolve and follow up regarding quality issues with customer (internal and external) in timely manner.
Analyze, assess, and develop processes that can improve quality, efficiency, effectiveness in product development or other areas of the business.
Independently analyze and solves well-defined problems with little direction/supervision.
Meet project schedules and cost goals for product and/ or service components.

Demonstrate independent decision-making while being aligned with overall project goals and functional team.
Structure and tackle diverse range of sophisticated problems delivering innovative solutions for existing products/features/services with assistance from supervisors.
Ensures that own work and that of a small team is clearly and concisely documented.
Successfully lead small team discussions to resolve technical issues.
Structure own work with limited guidance from manager to optimize for overall success of the team.
Make constant effort to increase your own and overall team's accomplishment by identifying obstacles.
Actively seek input for yourself and the project team members.
Ability to develop, implement and provide recommendation on structured QA processes, procedures and CTQ measures.
Finding opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiency.
You would be a strong customer advocate with experience in handling and solving Customer Quality issues to root cause.

Required Qualifications for Consideration

  • Bachelor's Degree in related curriculum such as Engineering
  • 5
    years work experience as quality engineer in an R/D environment in telecommunication, military, automotive, or other electronics industry
  • Experience with indoor and outdoor wireless product development and/or Quality Engineering
  • Proven understanding of ISO9000/TL9000 Quality Systems with implementation or other applicable professional experience.
  • Must be familiar with a wide range of reliability and qualification programs.
  • Highly qualified in working multi-functionally with design and new product development teams driving focused the Product Development Process.
  • Independent problem solver with excellent verbal, written, decision-making and social skills.
    Consistent track record of regularly contacting, influencing and negotiating with individuals within and outside the organization on complex issues
  • MS Office experience with an ability to successfully present information to internal /external groups (e.

    , management, engineering)

You Will Excite Us If You Have

Experience in Electrical and RF Hardware and/or Software Development.
Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
Demonstrated experience of basic and advanced quality tools such as:
TQM, Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis (8D), Poke Yoke, Kaizen Lean Design/Manufacturing, etc.
Demonstrated experience in writing reports.
Experience with analyzing and developing procedures
