Summary: Provide central leadership and manage the work activities of DAS & SC Process and NPI engineering organizations for DAS & SC product lines. Lead continuous improvement (Lean/6 Sigma) efforts for all related processes with emphasis on design for manufacturing and the corporate product development process, improved speed & quality to market ensuring the products are designed for manufacturing and lead opportunities on design for automation. This position will report to Director of Global Operations and will be based in Richardson, TX. Duties &
Responsibilities: Manage and develop NPI and Process Engineering teams supporting DAS & SC operations. Develop staffing plans and direct/coordinate all program and project activities through delegated subordinates. Prioritize workload in order to meet business needs and group objectives. Develop a strategy that supports execution of NPI in a timely fashion (speed to market) whilst maintaining accountability to the corporate product development or transfer processes. Controls CapEx spending for DAS & SC operations. Direct the development of functional skill building to improve team capabilities and skills. Centralize control and ensure global compliance for process and NPI DAS & SC engineering operations. Close collaboration with all manufacturing/design facilities to support continuous improvement Define and implement engineering strategy and processes for deploying new products to multiple production facilities globally. Lead design for manufacturing reviews. Best practices and lessons learned feedback to design; influence manufacturability in design. Manage process engineering to evaluate potential new processes for producing parts and sub-systems Define key manufacturing cost drivers and influence designs. Create engineering strategy that aligns with business plans for each product. Develop teams to use statistical analysis to prove-in and evaluation of process capability while new products are being introduced at manufacturing locations. Managerial/Supervisory Responsibility: Recruit, select, manage and develop employees, if applicable. Make decisions regarding hiring, promotions, salary adjustments, discipline, and any other changes of employee status . Job/Personnel Specification: Degree Qualified plus 15
years' experience Mechanical or Electrical Engineering International travel required (25%) Strong cultural sensitivity to manage relationships with people of all cultures Strong leadership capabilities to deliver results and build cross-functional, cross-cultural teams. Ability to motivate team efforts to accomplish goals. Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills. Specific experience within DAS & Small-Cell desirable. Must have good computer skills to include proficiency with Microsoft Office.
