Summary: Senior Process Engineer is responsible for manufacturing technologies and processes which support business unit manufacturing operations globally. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Project management for strategic manufacturing projects. Represent the global manufacturing team to support product development and process improvement projects. Develop project scope, maintain and report on manufacturing engineering projects. Mentor Manufacturing Engineers in support of business unit directions. Develop manufacturing 'Best in Class' strategies and processes for products. Help improve manufacturing capability in business unit manufacturing facilities, both internal and external through process improvement activities. Utilize and drive lean manufacturing principles throughout the global manufacturing sites and business partners. Drive DFMA (Design For Manufacturability and Assembly) concepts for the business unit. Assist in development of staffing and capital plans for manufacturing processes and equipment. Evaluate and distribute best practices to the global manufacturing sites. FREEDOM TO ACT WITHIN TECHNICAL DISCIPLINE: Exerts some latitude in determining objectives of assignments in cooperation with the Management team; Consults supervisor concerning unusual problems and developments; and Provides technical guidance to others. COMMUNICATION Interacts with management, senior personnel and peers on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines. LEADERSHIP/
Responsibilities: Mentors other professionals. Guides, channels, facilitates and transfers knowledge of fields to other professionals. Functions as a technical leader within project team. TYPES OF DECISIONS: Selects work methods and sequences to meet time and priority requirements. EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS: Personal computer. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel to other CommScope facilities and vendor locations.
Qualifications: A Bachelors degree in Engineering from an accredited university. Minimum of 8 years experience in a manufacturing engineering role. Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical skills. Travel: Passport & International travel 25% Project management for strategic manufacturing projects. Represent the global manufacturing team to support product development and process improvement projects. Develop project scope, maintain and report on manufacturing engineering projects.
