Programming Consultant

Responsibilities:
The programming consultant will work within an engineering team to build a library of test cases using a mobile handset automation platform. He/she will be responsible for writing automated test scripts based on test plans provided by senior engineering teams. In the process of creating and certifying the tests, the consultant will work closely with the automation platform and network application owners to resolve any scripting issues. The individual will also be responsible for recommending technical enhancements to the automation platform based on experience gained in developing the library of scripts. The ideal candidate will be a self-driven individual who completes assigned projects accurately and on time.
The position requires:
A Bachelor s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related engineering major is REQUIRED.
At least 5 years of overall programming experience is REQUIRED.
Proficiency in Visual Basic or a related language is REQUIRED.
At least 2
years experience with IMS, VoIP and Video telephony using SIP (Session Initial Protocol), RTP (Real-time Transport Protocol) and associated protocols is REQUIRED.
Strong understanding of network technologies (TCP, UDP, TLS, IPSEC, etc) is REQUIRED.
Strong analytic, interpersonal and communication skills are REQUIRED.
Familiarity with testing techniques, including white box, black box, unit testing, load testing, coverage testing and regression testing is REQUIRED.
Knowledge of the wireless network (CDMA, LTE) radio network technology and IMS 3GPP architecture is PREFERRED.
Familiarity with both Android and iOS mobile platforms is PREFERRED.
Familiarity with the Client ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) tool is PREFERRED.
At least 2
years experience of programming/testing mobile applications is DESIRED.
Familiarity with SIP troubleshooting and protocol tracing tools such as Wireshark is highly DESIRED.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
