Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Transit focused Communication Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will lead the Engineering Staff working with one of the largest Transit agencies in the Country.
What You'll Be Doing:
Manage the systems development for a large scale Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridorIntegrate with multiple other consultants on civil/structural/architectural design elementsDefine design requirements and use tools to track the design against client requirementsEnsure communication designs maximize coverage, capacity, efficiency and performance objectivesManaging all aspects of the design process -- use of design tools, implementation of design guidelines and calculationsWork effectively as part of a leadership team to ensure that design and deployment objectives, as well as timelines, are metWork closely with other design consultants and subcontractors as needed to support communication systems (CCTV, RF/Radio, Access Control Systems, , Telephone, Network and Fiber,).
This includes conducting detailed design reviews to ensure that all network objectives are fulfilled for backhaul and RF coverage with the clientAssist with commissioning and field teams during site construction and commissioningWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field)Master's Degree highly desirable10
years of related work experienceTexas Professional Engineer registration highly recommendedWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Proficiency in utilizing engineering PC software packages typically associated with communication systems such as:
CCTV design tools for field of viewAmplifier calculationsRF modeling & propagation toolsExpert in designing Network ArchitectureManagement skills working with multiple disciplines, the client and various integrated consultants.
