years Requirements:
Typically, a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Level III Central Office Installer Experience installing major OEM equipment such as Ciena (5430/6500), Juniper (MX), Cisco (NCS2000/4000/ ASR9010), Calix C7, GPON, Fujitsu Flashwave 9500, Coriant hiT 7300, Cisco ASR, etc.
Familiar with AT&T TP-76300 /76400 / Telcordia GR1275 and Verizon IP72202 installation standards.
Performing GR-1275 / TP76300 based Installation tasks, including but not limited to telco rack mounting, PDU installation, shelf mounting, grounding, cable connections, power lug crimping / connections, Cat6 runs and connections, fiber jumper installation, cleaning, scoping, recording results and power verification.
Using test equipment for basic configuration (laptop - IP addressing & setup, Optical Power Meter, Fiberscope, Voltmeter, Cat 6 tester, etc.
).
Light Testing / configuration of the OEM equipment and run multiple cable types.
Good written and verbal communication skills and customer facing skills.
Proficient using various computer equipment such as laptops, tablets, etc.
as well as knowledgeable with various software platforms.
Must be willing and available to travel away from home for several weeks at a time (up to 75%).
Shift work required on demand, ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
Ability to work outdoors, on ladders, and in confined spaces.
Responsibilities:
Installation of Telco / MSO network equipment (OEM's will primarily be Cisco 8202, Ciena 6500 and Waveserver (WSAi/WS5) in a Comcast POP or Data Center environment.
Locations may also include Huts, POP's, Repeater sites, etc.

Job duties as follows:
Performing GR-1275 / TP76300 based Installation tasks, including but not limited to telco rack mounting, superstructure modification as needed, PDU installation, shelf mounting, grounding, alarm and interbay cable connections, power lug crimping / connections, Cat6 runs and connections, fiber jumper installation, cleaning, scoping, recording results and power verification.
Light Testing/configuration of the OEM equipment.
Using test equipment for basic configuration (laptop - IP addressing & setup, Optical Power Meter, Fiberscope, Voltmeter, Cat 6 tester, etc.
) Working remotely with OEM and/or carrier NOC teams for connectivity to system and handoff for more detailed network provisioning and configuration.
